EMİRGAZİ
Emirgazi was established on the road leading to Karapınar from the (E-90) Highway. While it was in the status of a village until 1955, it gained the status of a town with the establishment of the municipality organization on this date.

The continental climate prevails in Emirgazi. It is surrounded by Niğde in the east, Ereğli in the south, Karapınar in the west and Aksaray in the north. Emirgazi is the place that receives the least rainfall in Central Anatolia. It also does not have any surface water sources such as streams or ponds. Although the land is rough in some parts, it is generally covered with plains and steppes. The only forest area of the district is the oak groves in Karacadağ in the southern part. The formation of the lands of the district, which is quite poor in terms of geographical richness, is also very interesting. With the eruption of the volcanic mountains around it hundreds of years ago, cavities were formed under the ground and the dents formed by these cavities were filled with soil by wind erosion, resulting in the lands that Emirgazi uses for agriculture today. These soils have a clayey and calcareous structure.
